  • Shree Vishnu Sahasranamavali (Purva Peetika and Phalashruti not required to chant)

How many times

  • Chant only once.

Who can chant

Any gender, any age
One can chant solo / in group / mass with full belief and devotion with correct pronunciation, at a clean and calm place without wearing footwear. Head bath and Vegetarian diet should be followed on that day.

As per Epic Mahabharata after the war Bheeshma Pitamah lying on the arrow bed on the war field of Kurukshetra narrated Shree Vishnu Sahasranam to Yudhisthir.

Believers claim that chanting Shree Vishnu Sahasranam Shloka and Sahasra Namavali (1000 names) on this day (parvakal) with belief and full devotion will provide them Rakshana / Raksha for 1 year (i.e. till end of Dakshinayan ) Daily chanting has much higher benefits as stated in Phala Shruthi of Shree Vishnu Sahasranam.

15 January 2020 was the first attempt for this Abhiyan and we strongly belive, this Abhiyan will grow for years to come.
Publicity campaign and website launched on Geeta Jayanti / Mukti Ekadashi day from Kurukshetra Brahma Sarovar where International Gita Mahotsav was organised by Kurukshetra Development Board.
